Krystle Frahm receives National Research Service Award

Kristen Krystle Frahm was recently awarded an NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Individual Predoctoral Fellowship for her project entitled “Increased Prenatal Glucocorticoids on Vascularization in the Paraventricular Nucleus of the Hypothalamus.” Her advisor is Dr. Stuart Tobet, Director of Biomedical Engineering and Cell & Molecular Biology Faculty Member.

Krystle Frahm received a Young Investigator Award to attend the International Workshop in Neuroendocrinology held August 4-7, 2013 in Dourado, Brazil. She also received a poster award on her presentation entitled “Prenatal dexamethasone impacts the blood vessel density and blood-brain barrier competency within the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus.”
