Jan Leach Serves on National Anti-bioterrorism Board

Jan Leach was recently appointed to the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity.  This board advises members of the federal government on how to allow research continue on infectious organisms that could be used in biological war fair.  Leach’s research group studies Xanthomonas oryzae Pv. oryzae, a bacteria that causes rice blight and is listed as a select agent by the U.S. government.  For more information see Today @ Colorado State story.
